About the Hiring Group

The Center for Clinical Research is seeking a Senior Project Management Specialist. The Center for Clinical Research provides biostatistical leadership and support of multi-center clinical studies and research networks, including expertise in statistical design and analysis, randomized clinical trials and observational studies, management/operations, and regulatory affairs related to Data Coordinating Centers (DCCs), grants, and contracts. The Senior Project Management Specialist will collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors to manage study operations and work plans, and support the Principal Investigator with internal business operations.


What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers to create and execute project work plans and schedules, using industry-standard applications (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).
  • Create and track project timelines, deliverables, and calendars.
  • Manage consultant agreements and subcontracts.
  • Write and submit reports as required by the client.
  • Maintain a strong client focus.
  • Review and understand project budgets and financial reports and provide financial guidance.
  • Demonstrate an eye for innovation (e.g., exploring/evaluating existing and new technologies) in day-to-day research activities.
  • Foster communication and information dissemination internally within project and business operations teams and externally with collaborators and clients.
  • Maintain awareness of best practices in use with RTI and utilize those best practices in conducting project work.
  • Develop an understanding and appreciation of client needs by interfacing with clients on projects and proposals.
  • Work independently to efficiently manage multiple and overlapping timelines and deliverables.
  • Train staff on processes and protocols.

What You'll Need

Qualification:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in business or related degree and 5 years' related experience in project management or equivalent experience (Master's degree in business or related degree and 3 years' experience in project maangement).
  • Master's degree in business or related degree and 3 years' related experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly organized with the ability to complete multiple tasks and deliverables within tight timeframes and during periods with competing priorities
  • Ability to work successfully and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., data managers, statisticians, and principal investigators)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams
  • Demonstrate respect for all individuals, with a focus on inclusivity
  • To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the Unites States and should not require now, or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.
