ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: * Successfully manage crew of 8-10 people * Manage all phases of the paving process * Maintain communication with the Paving Superintendent regarding progress, delays, etc. * Follow all established RC Construction safety policies * Monitors job specifications and ensure quality final product * Assures job progresses according to plan EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: * Minimum of 5 years' experience managing concrete paving crews * Knowledge of concrete placements and finishing processes * Able to read blueprints * Airport paving experience * Experience with set up and operation of Gomaco or similar Slip Form Paving Machines * Competent computer skills * Army Corps of Engineers or FAA experience is a plus * ACI Certifications will be given preference > ACI Flatwork Finishers, Grade I Tech, Transportation Inspector * Must be able to obtain access to military bases across the United States PHYSICAL DEMANDS: **RC will gladly provide a reasonable accommodation to assist Concrete Paving Prep Foreman in performing these essential job functions so long as it does not create an undue burden * Ability to work overhead * Ability to use hands to grasp * Ability to reach with arms * Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas * Ability to repeatedly stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist throughout the workday and week * Ability to frequently lift and/or push/pull up to 30 pounds up to 50 feet * Ability to frequently lift up to 30 pounds up to 3 feet off the ground * Occasionally lift and/or push/pull approximately 112 pounds up to 25 feet * Occasionally lift approximately 112 lbs. to a surface approximately 12 inches off the ground * Ability to repeatedly operate a 12lb sledgehammer throughout the entire workday and week * Ability to climb up and down a 6foot step ladder and balance Concrete Paving Foreman * Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift in all weather and temperature extremes * Vision adequate to perform all tasks WORK ENVIRONMENT: * Employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed to perform job tasks * Employee is regularly exposed to noise, dust, and various types of smells * Employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. * Employee must be able to properly use and handle toxic or caustic chemicals. * Employee is regularly exposed to wet, hot, and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, and outside weather conditions * Employee is expected to work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean work area R.C.
