Inova Data and AI Development is looking for a dedicated Data and AI Principal Trainer to join the Team. This remote role will be full-time working day-shift Monday - Friday. The Data and AI Principal Trainer develops and maintains curriculum and training materials throughout implementation, computer system upgrades and optimization. Assists end-users in developing/using best practices and optimization goals to ensure the system is providing the desired level of patient care. Designs, develops and maintains the training environment, training materials and methods for clinical and non-clinical end users in supporting applications. Data and AI Principal Trainer Responsibilities:
- Develop, design, and maintain enterprise data literacy, analytics, and AI training materials and curricula aligned to defined learning objectives and enterprise standards.
Deliver engaging, learner-centered in-person and virtual training sessions using facilitation techniques that promote interaction, understanding, and real-world application. - Translate complex data, analytics, and AI concepts into clear, accessible language for learners with varying levels of data literacy.
- Facilitate Insights Bar sessions, office hours, workshops, and learning events to support ongoing analytics and data enablement.
- Create training assets across multiple modalities, including instructor-led content, virtual learning, recorded video, self-paced e-learning, job aids, and interactive learning materials.
- Develop and deliver engaging training materials using modern instructional design tools and platforms, including Articulate Rise, Adobe Captivate, Storyline, JavaScript, video editing tools, and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Apply standardized design frameworks and leverage knowledge of SCORM/xAPI standards, along with strong UI/UX principles, to create effective and user-centered learning experiences.
- Assist in developing and maintaining role-based training curricula aligned to defined personas (providers, analysts, developers, nurses, super users).
- Support standardized onboarding and enablement pathways across analytics, AI, and enterprise toolsets.
- Maintain training documentation, workflows, job aids, and multimedia learning assets in accordance with enterprise standards.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and enterprise stakeholders to identify learning needs, clarify requirements, and translate them into effective training solutions.
- Provide remedial and optimization training to address adoption gaps or workflow challenges.
- Track participation, feedback, and effectiveness of training programs and communicate insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Coordinate training logistics, schedules, communications, and materials with stakeholders across clinical, operational, IT, and analytics teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree; or Associate's degree and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required
- Experience: 5 years of experience in education or healthcare related field including 2 years of training development.
- Certification: Epic Cogito certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing and delivering training using tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and LMS platforms; familiarity with SCORM/xAPI standards, UI/UX principles, and platforms like Epic Cogito preferred. Ability to translate complex healthcare data, analytics, and AI concepts into clear, actionable learning for clinical, operational, and administrative audiences with varying levels of data literacy preferred. Experience coordinating and facilitating analytics consultation sessions (ex: "Insights bar" or equivalent support model), office hours, workshops, and learning events preferred.
