DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Facility Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment. You will supervise a building maintenance program, distribute work assignments, and inspect ongoing and completed work. You will also perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of grounds, building, equipment, and machinery; complete work schedules, performance evaluations, and corrective actions; and read and interpret blueprints and specifications for alternations to building, grounds, and equipment. This role requires solid practical knowledge to ensure uninterrupted operations and to ensure work complies with code specifications. In addition, you will plan daily activities of Equipment Operators to include all resident transportation requirements and supervise the operation, maintenance, and repair of the GMVC automotive and equipment fleet.

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of skilled trades work experience in commercial, industrial, multi-unit residential facilities, or utility plant operations; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades. Examples of qualifying trades include carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, steam fitting/pipefitting, refrigeration/HVAC, painting, roofing/tinsmith, drywall/plasterer, and automotive mechanic work that includes performing technical duties on motors, engines, and electrical systems
- Experience in the carpentry, plumbing, and electrical fields
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration and/or HVAC systems
- Experience in commercial maintenance
- Experience with 3-phase wiring to include emergency generators, switch gears and 3-phase panels
- Experience with domestic hot water mixing valves, recirculating loops, aqua stats and instantaneous water heaters
- Experience with Life Safety Code and Inspections
- Supervisory experience in the maintenance or repair of buildings
