Job Description
The Senior Corporate Counsel - Employment is responsible for providing day-to-day legal support to theCompany'sHumanResourcesteamforemploymentmattersonvarietyof employmentissues.This position is also responsible for managing outside counsel on employment litigation, and handling EEOC, agency charges and internal investigations. Also responsible for updating employee-related agreements, handling restrictive covenant matters, reviewing, and drafting policies and procedures as necessary to support the human resources team, and developing and conducting training on legal developments. TheSeniorCorporateCounselisbasedas a hybrid (min 3 days/week on-site) attheCompany'sSecaucus,NJ,headquarters. Salary Range: $190,000 to $230,000/year + 25% Annual Incentive Plan + LTI Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation. Qualifications:
Thesuccessfulcandidatefor SeniorCorporateCounselwillhavethefollowingattributesand/or experiences:
Minimum of 7-10+ years of expertise in employment law counseling and employment/litigation experience Preferred prior in-house experience Some prior litigation experience a plus Strong educational background including an undergraduate degree and JD are required Strong working knowledge of various state and federal employment laws (including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, ADEA, Title VII, ERISA, and state law counterparts). California experience a plus. Workers' compensation experience is a plus Immigration experience is a plus Ability to promote company's culture of legal compliance Ability to drive change resulting from legal developments Strong analytic and communications skills Ability to work collaboratively with wide range of diverse internal clients and colleagues in fast-paced environment. Ability to effectively prioritize work amongst competing priorities Occasional travel is required
