Hiring Department Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopment Job Description We are seeking friendly, reliable Cafe Staff to join our team. Our cafe is part of an initiative to create inclusive employment opportunities and provide supportive, hands-on job training for individuals entering the workforce, including those with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate is customer focused, works well in a fast paced environment, and takes pride in providing high quality food, beverages, and service. Cafe Staff are responsible for creating a welcoming experience for every guest while maintaining cleanliness, efficiency, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities * Greet customers and take food and beverage orders accurately * Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, tea, and other beverages * Prepare simple food items following cafe recipes and standards * Operate the point of sale system and handle transactions accurately * Maintain cleanliness of the cafe, including counters, equipment, dining area, and restrooms * Restock supplies and assist with opening and closing duties * Follow health, safety, and food handling regulations * Address customer questions, requests, or concerns professionally * Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations Shift Part-time 10 - 25 hours per week Business hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and 6 months of work experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications Qualifications & Skills * Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast paced environment * Dependable, punctual, and team oriented * Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs Anticipated Hiring Range Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.00 hourly Grade: GGS - 006 University Title: RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE Internal applicants can determine their university title by accessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.
