Position Summary: The BIM Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of technically excellent, operationally efficient, and future-ready BIM services. They combine leadership, technical mastery, and a deep understanding of Henderson's BIM framework to enable teams to produce higher quality work with greater consistency.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Mentor and train BIM Technicians, Specialists, and Leads to develop technical mastery, coordination skills, and leadership capabilities.
  • Manage and oversee a team of BIM staff, including Technicians, Specialists, and Leads, by setting clear expectations, delegating responsibilities, and ensuring alignment with project and organizational goals.
  • Deliver targeted training on BIM tools, workflows, and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and inclusion within your team.
  • Partner with the BIM Technical Director to execute the firm's BIM strategic vision, aligning with operational, quality, and technology objectives.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in Henderson's workflows and ensure correct application in project delivery.
  • Provide feedback to Sector leadership to inform technical strategies.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of BIM standards, templates, and workflows consistent with industry best practices and ISO 19650.
  • Provide advanced technical support to BIM Leads and project teams in setup, execution, QA/QC, and coordination of BIM deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Discipline Leads to define and interpret BIM Execution Plans aligned with client requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Promote consistent use of support queues and BIM toolkits across assigned sectors.
  • Support discipline-specific needs by collaborating with Technicians & Specialists to develop and maintain Revit families, content libraries, and automation tools to improve design efficiency.
  • Oversee quality control reviews to ensure models meet internal standards, client expectations, and coordination requirements.
  • Drive compliance with company workflows, ensure adherence to BIM milestone responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with IT and other BIM/VDC teams to ensure smooth operation of BIM-related software, cloud services, and network systems.
  • Track and report BIM performance metrics, including FTE utilization, KPI's, and process efficiency gains.



Qualifications:



  • Associate's degree in engineering, construction management, science, or BIM / drafting technology preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • A minimum of 2 years leadership/management experience preferred.
  • Subject matter expert in Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Navisworks required.
  • Advanced experience with BIM related tools (Dynamo, Python, PyRevit, Clarity, and Content Catalog), preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing BIM standards and workflows.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in discipline of expertise and track record of technical excellence in that field.
  • History of contributing to technically sound teams, as well as ability to motivate and coach others.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of technical needs of the industry and proven track record of quality monitoring, maintenance and improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to mobilize company technical strategies through project execution.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in all core competencies as described and characterized in this job description.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
