Job Description




As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed, driving patrol officer. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or potential concerns.
  • Serve in an armed post in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site post orders, maintaining professional presence and following prescribed response protocols for security-related incidents.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of armed security-related experience, law enforcement experience, and/or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
