Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an
IT Support Technician in Richmond, Virginia. The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing first-level technical support to end users by troubleshooting electronic hardware, software, and printers. The individual in this role will be involved in assisting in the setup, maintenance, and repair of computer systems and peripherals while ensuring a positive customer service experience. Seeking candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent, required; Associate's degree or working towards a degree in Information Technology or a related field, preferred; Previous experience in a help desk or IT support role is a plus but not required; Basic knowledge of networking principles and IT security concepts is beneficial.
Requirements for the IT Support Technician position includes:
Physical requirements must be met for the IT Support Technician job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
