Associate Director, Commercial Operations
Remote - US
Quanterix is a global leader in ultra-sensitive biomarker detection, enabling breakthroughs in disease research, diagnostics, and drug development. Its proprietary Simoa technology delivers industry-leading sensitivity, allowing researchers to detect and quantify biomarkers in blood and other fluids at concentrations far below traditional limits. With more than 3,400 peer-reviewed publications, Quanterix has been a trusted partner to the scientific community for nearly two decades. In 2025, Quanterix acquired Akoya Biosciences, The Spatial Biology Company, adding multiplexed tissue imaging with single-cell resolution to its portfolio. Together, the combined company offers a uniquely integrated platform that connects biology across blood and tissue-advancing precision medicine from discovery to diagnostics.
ROLE SUMMARY:
Lucent Diagnostics, a Quanterix brand, is pioneering ultra-sensitive, blood-based biomarker testing for Alzheimer's disease. Using Simoa technology, Lucent empowers providers, health systems, and laboratory partners with earlier, more accurate detection to enable better patient outcomes. Our mission is to make highly sensitive blood-based biomarker testing the standard of care for neurodegenerative disease.
To support our commercial scale-up, we are seeking an Associate Director, Customer Success & Commercial Operations. This is a senior individual contributor and people manager role that owns the full post-sale customer experience for Lucent - from provider onboarding and workflow integration through ongoing account retention and volume growth - while building the operational infrastructure that enables the Lucent commercial team to scale. The AD will directly oversee the Lucent Customer Service function and lead a team of Client Success professionals. Reporting to the General Manager of Lucent Diagnostics, this person will serve as the operational backbone connecting Sales, Lab Operations, Medical Affairs, and Market Access.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Commercial Operations & Analytics

  • Own the Lead-to-Close operational infrastructure for Lucent: pipeline KPIs, funnel metrics, adoption tracking, and process compliance within Salesforce
  • Build and maintain self-service dashboards (Salesforce) that give commercial and operational leadership real-time visibility into account performance, pipeline health, and service metrics
  • Lead business process improvement initiatives across the commercial and service organization: contract management workflows, provider portal enhancements, logistics training, and external communications infrastructure
  • Collaborate with IT, Lab Ops, and operations stakeholders to implement enhancements to LIMS, the provider portal, and reporting systems
  • Participate in the SFDC governance committee, drive adoption and data integrity across the Lucent commercial tool ecosystem
  • Oversee support of post-sale customer experience for Lucent's highest-value accounts including academic medical centers, large health systems, integrated delivery networks, international distributors, and strategic provider groups
  • Design and implement customized account workflows tailored to the clinical and operational requirements of each client environment, including Medical Billing and EHR integration (Quadax, Epic and other vendor interfaces)
  • Other duties as necessary

Customer Service Leadership

  • Directly oversee the Lucent Customer Service function: set performance standards, manage escalation protocols, and ensure service level consistency across all inbound provider inquiries
  • Lead, develop, and retain a team of Client Success and Customer Service professionals; establish role clarity, SOPs, training programs, and competency assessment frameworks
  • Manage patient sample intake processes through the Lucent Provider Portal, including oversight of intake workflows, interdepartmental handoffs, and quality control checkpoints
  • Design and deliver onboarding programs for new providers and accounts: product training, portal navigation, reporting workflows, and operational integration support

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree (MS in life science discipline, MBA, or equivalent)
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in customer success, strategic account management, or commercial operations in diagnostics, genomics, or clinical laboratory services
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder accounts with health systems, academic medical centers, or large provider networks
  • Salesforce expertise: pipeline management, reporting, dashboard development, and governance
  • Experience supporting or owning EHR integration workflows, provider portal administration, or clinical data system implementations (Epic preferred)
  • Strong analytical and reporting capability; proficient building dashboards and interpreting performance data
  • Demonstrated ability to build operational infrastructure in a fast-moving, pre-commercial or early commercial environment
  • Highly effective cross-functional collaborator

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Background in clinical laboratory operations or LDT testing environments - direct bench or lab management experience a meaningful differentiator
  • Familiarity with LIMS, clinical accessioning workflows, or specimen management systems
  • Experience in a pre-commercial or scale-up diagnostics company

WHY YOU'LL LIKE WORKING WITH US:
Our Technology:
From discovery to diagnostics, Quanterix's ultrasensitive biomarker detection is fueling breakthroughs only made possible through its unparalleled sensitivity and flexibility. Simoa technology has delivered the gold standard for earlier biomarker detection in blood, serum or plasma, with the ability to quantify proteins that are far lower than the Level of Quantification (LoQ). Our industry-leading precision instruments, digital immunoassay technology and CLIA-certified Accelerator laboratory have supported research that advances disease understanding and management in neurology, oncology, immunology, cardiology, and infectious disease.
Akoya Biosciences, a Quanterix company, is The Spatial Biology Company-bringing tissue context to life through high-resolution, single-cell imaging. Akoya's spatial phenotyping platforms help researchers visualize and measure how cells organize and interact within tissue to influence disease progression and therapeutic response. From discovery through clinical research, Akoya offers a full continuum of solutions, including PhenoCycler, PhenoImager Fusion and HT, and PhenoCode Panels. As part of Quanterix, Akoya complements a leading portfolio of ultra-sensitive biomarker detection technologies, together enabling a more complete view of biology and disease across both tissue and blood.
