General Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Foreman Assistant to support multifamily electrical operations in the Charlotte, NC area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow into a leadership role while working alongside an experienced Residential Electrical Foreman. The ideal candidate will assist with field coordination, support electricians, and help ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to high-quality standards. As a Foreman Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day electrical operations, helping manage crews, coordinating materials, and maintaining job site organization and safety compliance. Key Responsibilities Assist the Foreman in supervising residential electricians on job sites Support planning and execution of multifamily electrical projects Help coordinate schedules, manpower, materials, and workflow Ensure compliance with NEC codes, company standards, and safety regulations Act as a point of contact for field personnel and subcontractors as needed Assist with troubleshooting electrical issues Enforce OSHA safety standards and participate in safety meetings Track tools, equipment, and materials Maintain project documentation (permits, inspections, work orders) Support training and development of team members Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 2-4 Specific Qualifications Qualifications 2+ years of residential electrical experience (multifamily preferred) Leadership or crew lead experience is a plus Basic knowledge of NEC codes and electrical systems Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with digital tools or willingness to learn Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Physical Requirements Lift and carry up to 50 lbs Stand, bend, kneel, climb, and walk for extended periods Work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding Work in tight spaces and elevated areas Manual dexterity for tools and wiring Work Environment Active multifamily construction job sites Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strict adherence to safety standards and PPE requirements License Required Yes Job Locations US-NC-Charlotte Company Overview IES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services to a variety of end markets, including electrical, mechanical and communications contracting solutions for the commercial, industrial, residential and renewable energy markets.
