Location

This position is based on the Atlanta, GA campus and requires adherence to the College's mandated in person work schedule; this is not a remote role. The incumbent may also be required to travel and must remain flexible to support onsite client needs and/or project requirements.

The Georgia Tech College of Lifetime Learning is a research-driven academic college advancing learning across the full arc of life. Founded in 2024, the College integrates research, teaching, and real-world practice to design learning systems that adapt over time and support learners through multiple life and career transitions. As part of a leading public research university, the College advances flexible, stackable pathways that expand access, strengthen mobility, and prepare individuals and communities for a world of constant change.

Partner Academics Description

Partner Academics is a collaborative team within the College of Lifetime Learning that helps bring Georgia Tech's online academic programs to life. We support the planning, launch, and ongoing operations of online degree programs developed in partnership across the Institute. Today, the team supports 20 academic programs, with additional programs coming online in the year ahead.

We work closely with faculty, academic units, learners, and campus stakeholders to ensure programs run smoothly and deliver a strong academic and student experience. Our work spans academic operations, course and faculty coordination, learning systems support, and navigating Institute requirements.

As a team, we value flexibility, collaboration, and problem solving. We partner with faculty and program leaders to turn ideas into high quality, scalable learning experiences, especially in the online space, and play an important role in helping Georgia Tech meet the evolving needs of learners and the workforce.

Job Summary

Oversee the daily operations of multiple administrative functions within an academic or business unit. Functions usually include all or most of the following: financial records and reporting, human resources, building management and general administrative support to unit staff. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: unit management and staff and management/staff in campus-wide support units (e.g. Human Resources, Facilities, etc.). This position typically will advise and counsel: unit management and staff. This position will supervise: assigned unit administrative staff.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Coordinate unit budget preparation, monitor and prepare related reports.

Job Duty 2 -
Supervise unit human resources administrative functions and coordinate efforts with OHR.

Job Duty 3 -
Ensure that unit facilities are maintained.

Job Duty 4 -
Manage preparation of financial related reports and schedules. May include grant administration.

Job Duty 5 -
Coordinate unit space planning and usage.

Job Duty 6 -
Develop unit administrative policies and procedures (or major portions thereof) consistent with Institute policy.

Job Duty 7 -
Coordinate provision of administrative services to unit management and staff.

Job Duty 8 -
Organize the activities of and supervise assigned support staff.

Job Duty 9 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial oversight and program reconciliation across Partner Academics programs, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking
  • Lead reconciliation efforts to ensure alignment across enrollment, revenue, expenses, and instructional delivery
  • Support enrollment projections and partner with program leadership to inform operational and financial planning
  • Coordinate faculty appointments, including offers, renewals, documentation, and workflow management in collaboration with HR and academic units
  • Coordinate compensation planning and tracking, working closely with designated team members
  • Serve as an operational liaison across finance, HR, academic units, and internal teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely execution
Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in business, communications, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Some travel is required.

Required Experience
Eight to ten years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing a team of 3 or more full-time employees
  • Intermediate level experience with ClickUp and Microsoft Office tools (including Planner and SharePoint), as well as Power BI or other dashboard and data visualization software.
  • Advanced expertise in Excel and data analysis, including oversight of large datasets, financial tracking, and the development of projections and forecasts
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex information and provide sound, strategic recommendations
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including the ability to guide, influence, and support staff in a collaborative environment
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent workstreams
  • High level of attention to detail, particularly in financial, faculty, and compliance related areas
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead effectively through ambiguity, adapt to shifting priorities, and operate in a dynamic, evolving organization
  • Sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Service oriented and collaborative mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires working knowledge of a broad range of office management functions and processes including those related to accounting records, human resources, facilities management, records management and related areas. Use of office related computer applications and systems is required. Previous people management experience is also required.
