lResponsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to conduct all activities related to the handling of parts and semi-finished or final products in the warehouse or to/from the production line. Each day, you will be responsible for sorting and arranging material for storage as per guidelines. You will also showcase your expertise by performing other routine activities according to established procedures.
The work model for the role is onsite and may involve working an off-shift and over time.

Annealing Team Member Labor Grade-19

Team members will be trained on all steps of the job.

Stretching exercises will be done at the start of every shift.

Supervisor will go over Job Safety Analysis sheets, Safety Checklist, required personal protective equipment (PPE) and instructions on daily clean up.

Requirements:

  • Team Members are required to rotate at both ends during the shift
  • Will receive electric pallet truck training
  • Frequently lifting or moving heavy material, manually or with hoist
  • Must inspect parts when loading and unloading for Quality purposes
  • Furnace trays weigh approximately 50 pounds
  • Three team members per furnace, one at the loading end and two at unloading end.
  • One Team Leader per shift

Loading End of Furnace:

  • An experienced team member will train new Annealing Team Members at the loading end.
  • Instructions will be given on how to place furnace trays and hook them together on the conveyor.
  • Team Leader will place skids of lamination that needs to be annealed at the loading end of the furnace.
  • Team Leader will inform on the quantity and placement of the lamination on the trays.
  • Training will be given on how to operate the overhead hoist and when to use it, which is determined by the wiring and weight of the stacks of lamination.
  • The loaded furnace trays will be pushed up to the staging area where they will be automatically fed into the furnace once you push the button; they feed in approximately every 7 to 8 minutes, normally two rows of trays are filled at a time.
  • Team member will be trained on how to fill in times in the logbook.
  • You will be trained on how to fill in your times when the furnace trays are loaded and waiting to go into the furnace.
  • Lamination that does not have to be annealed will both be banded and tagged by team member loading or unloading and be moved to the shipping dock by the fork truck driver or the Team Leader.

Unloading End of Furnace:

  • Loaded trays will come out of the furnace approximately every nine minutes.
  • A pallet and box according to stack height is placed on the lift table.
  • Team member will slam, roll & fan each stack of lamination according to the size of it on the Anvil table, which is a block of steel as, (larger lamination is just slammed on the Anvil table). The purpose of this is that the lamination sticks together when it is annealed.
  • Lamination will then be packed in boxes per work instructions. When box is full Team member will push the button and raise the lift table to dock height and will move the skid and box to the banding area on the loading dock with a pallet jack.
  • Then lid will get placed on box and it will be labeled and banded according to Work Instructions QWSL-A001, then the team member must initial the label as being the packer. (Only on annealed lamination)
  • Next fork truck driver or the Team Leader will transport it to the shipping dock.

Essential Functions- Annealing Team Member

Annealing Team Member must be able to perform these functions in a manner that does not compromise their safety or the safety of coworkers. The annealing team member must be able to perform these task for a minimum of 8 hours per day, 5 days a week. If an employee is unable to perform these essential functions it is their responsibility to bring this to the attention of their supervisor, manager, or Human Resource Manager. In these situations, ABB will discuss and attempt to provide any reasonable accommodations that may be available.

  • Ability to understand and follow all ABB safety policies, safety training and hazard communication information. This includes but is not limited to wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) such as: safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, cut resistant gloves, and safety sleeves when required.
  • Lift and or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently grip with hands, turn, push, and bend, along with occasional reaching above shoulder level, and pulling.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time and to keep up with the demanding pace of production.
  • Possess the dexterity and hand-eye coordination to utilize various hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete a variety of complex task. Equipment includes but is not limited to: electric chain hoists, pneumatic staplers, hydraulic lift tables, electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and contros with buttons.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions. Ability to read, write, use a calculator. Must also have the ability to read and comprehend work orders, inventory tags, and shipping labels.
  • Ability to maintain regular work attendance, including arriving at work on time and remaining at work until the end of the schedules work day.
  • Ability to work daily and weekend overtime, including overtime on short notice.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

Hourly pay range: $21.89-$27.92

(Shift premium for 2nd & 3rd shift)
