Merchandise Analyst

The primary responsibilities of the Merchandise Analyst are to aid in compiling data, assist in tracking metrics for reporting and working with merchandise team to provide analysis. This is a unique opportunity to be involved with the product merchandise team while also being exposed to supply chain, demand planning and finance to create alignment with top line goals and bottom-line results.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Global Analytics Manager, and other Merch staff to compile financial metrics for seasonal assortments with projected assumptions and historical data.
  • Assist in compiling results on sales performance for Leadership.
  • Track competition via quarterly earnings calls to provide context around total apparel performance.
  • Track monthly inventory, assessing the quality of the inventory owned.
  • Assist in compiling sales and shipment data for monthly team meetings.
  • Trouble shooting data integrity issues with the Business Intelligence Team.
  • Develop and Design templates to aid in concise communication of detailed data.

Requirements:

  • Experience Retail or Manufacturing in Apparel experience is desired.
  • Minimum education: bachelor's degree
  • Strong communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Expertise in analytics required
  • High proficiency in Excel is required.
  • Experience in a data query tool such as Alteryx and in a dashboard tool such as Power BI or Tableau would be desired.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.
  • Resilient: Ability to persevere despite challenges and push thru to deliver results. Must be agile in taking difference approaches to reach the desired results.
