This is a Part Time, 29.5 hour a week, M-F, Temporary position. As an Ability One position under the Javits-Wagner O'Day Act, individuals with disabilities will be given priority in the hiring process. Proof of disability will be required at intake.

Primary Duties

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

  • Fill and build Kitting orders as directed.
  • Remove paper/plastic from products and break down boxes.
  • Sort kitting inventory in to correct boxes.
  • L-seal products that go in kits as needed.
  • Palletize final kits for delivery.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Break down pallets and product boxes for disposal.
  • Shrink wrap or band products as needed.
  • Report supply or quality issues as they occur.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience and Certification(s)

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred but not required.
  • No prior experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to recognize and/or read limited number of two-and three-syllable words.
  • Ability to understand/carry out one or two step instructions and follow visual cues.
  • Ability to work in team setting or independently in the absence of direct supervision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit while assembling kits. The employee may lift or move products and supplies, up to 75 pounds - may do a team lift of up to 150 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
