The Role The Human Resources (HR) Manager is responsible for ensuring Head Start standards, regulations, and Save the Children-Head Start policies and procedures are implemented consistently and in full compliance with all applicable standards across two states which are Oklahoma and Arkansas. You will work as a part of the management team and would be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable State and federal laws, and the implementation of program policies and practices relative to Human Resources, including planning, organizing, developing, coordinating, record keeping, reporting, and monitoring. You will be responsible for center recruitment, orientation, training, performance management, employee recognition, communication, disciplinary matters and management of employee exit procedures, and will report to the Director of Human Resources-Head Start. What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties) Work with other departments to prepare first day orientation for new hires and assist with onboarding new hires. Child Safeguarding (20%) Partner with Program Director to implement guidelines and approaches to ensure adherence to standards set by Save the Children & the Office of Head Start. HR Administration, Compliance, Oversight and Employee Relations (30%) Exercise independent judgment and discretion on significant HR matters. Community Relations (10%) Work with Program Director to respond to community complaints and requests for information regarding program areas of responsibility. Required Qualifications High school diploma, plus at least 3 years of relevant, progressive HR experience Preferred Qualifications Human Resources experience in a Head Start program. Current and former Head Start/Early Head Start parents will receive preference for employment vacancies for which they are qualified. Compensation The base pay for this position is starting at $54,549. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, experience, credentials, base salary of internal peers and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
