As a Systems Engineer at Lam, you will design complex frameworks, systems, and products for our wafer fabrication equipment.You'lldefine system specifications, requirements, parameters, and compatibility to integrate hardware, software, and firmware into a cohesive system. Preferred qualifications
System-level technical ownership/integration across mechanical, electrical, software, controls, mechatronics, and process engineering. Define system architecture, requirements, and integration strategy from concept through production. Author/own systems engineering artifacts (e.g., top-level specs/architecture, System Theory of Operation, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)). Decompose systems into functional subsystems with clear interfaces, error budgets, and design margins; maintain P&IDs, interconnect definitions, and signal lists (port maps). Own system-level validation: approve test plans/results against requirements and produce validation/test reports. Drive DFx (reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, safety, cost) and own/approve system-level FMEA and risk mitigation. Influence and lead without formal authority; drive closure of cross-functional technical actions and decisions. Partner with Program Management and Product/Technical Owners to balance scope, cost, schedule, and performance. Our commitment
