Job Title: Finance Associate III

Duration: 4+ Months

Location: Remote

Overview

The Client is seeking a highly organized and analytical Temporary Finance Associate to provide critical support to our finance and business operations teams. This is a temporary, non-full-time position focused on executing time-bound deliverables and operational priorities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the provision of accurate and timely financial insights to facilitate informed business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support essential recurring finance activities, including quarterly close processes, financial reporting, and detailed variance analyses.
  • Develop, maintain, and reconcile spreadsheets, trackers, and dashboards to support both financial reporting and operational workflows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to gather necessary inputs, validate data accuracy, and resolve any data discrepancies.
  • Provide operational support as needed, including assistance with budget tracking, purchase order/invoice coordination, and other general tasks.
  • Document existing processes and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting mechanisms and overall finance operations.
  • Ensure the strict confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive financial and business information, adhering to all applicable policies.



Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, business operations, or analytics.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with spreadsheet software (e.g., advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets, including mastery of pivot tables, lookups, and basic financial modeling).
  • Proven experience in generating reports, performing complex reconciliations, and managing large datasets with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively and independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.



Must-Have Skills

1. Advanced financial analysis + modeling

2. FP&A / forecasting experience (or clear equivalent)

3. Large dataset management (comfort operating in complex/high-volume finance data)

Nice-to-Have Skills

1. Finance certifications (CFA/CPA)

2. Prior experience supporting Ads / revenue-driving product finance (budgeting + close/forecast rhythms)- prior familiarity with that type of operating cadence is a strong nice-to-have.

Degrees/Certifications

Bachelor's in finance is required.

CFA/CPA not required (nice-to-have at most, but not mandatory)
