The Salvation Army's Wisconsin and Upper Michigan Division is located in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. The division is home to 26 Worship and Community Centers (Corps), 67 service extension units, a camp, as well as multiple homeless shelters, thrift stores and food pantries. Service extension units are branches of The Salvation Army in communities where Corps are not located but service is provided by committees of volunteers. The Social Services Evaluation & Training Coordinator will provide consultative support and program evaluation activities to social services programming throughout the Wisconsin & Upper Michigan Division in coordination with the Executive Director of Social Services. Provide leadership to Division wide Social Services training initiatives.

About the role:

Training



  • Oversee Divisional training initiatives, including the Continuing Professional Development Program and conflict resolution training.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate monthly educational webinar training sessions to support program needs and personnel development.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Territorial Caseworker Certification program (CCP) for new Social Services employees, including registration, status reporting, and evaluation of submitted final exam.
  • Serve as the primary trainer for Divisionally hosted (virtual and/or in-person) instructor-led Safe from Harm trainings.
  • Serve as a team leader to the Divisional Social Services Conference planning, including participation with the planning committee, support to overall planning and execution, coordination of presenters and workshops.
  • Develop and track metrics to evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback. Offer suggestions to add new or modify training content or delivery.


Social Services Evaluation & Consultation



  • Participate in Social Services program evaluations of basic social services and other programs throughout the division, as assigned, and guided by the National Social Services Standards.
  • Serve as the lead evaluator, as assigned, guiding the evaluation process and preparation of the evaluation report.
  • Assist the Corps in constructively responding to recommendations from the evaluation through the development of corrective action plans.
  • Participate in consultation visits with assigned sites supporting the review of action plans, and identify/address support need related to areas of responsibility.


General



  • Provide direction and support to the Social Services Administrative Coordinator for administrative tasks associated with areas of responsibility.


Education: Bachelor's Degree in Social Services, Psychology, or other human services discipline. Master's preferred.
Experience: Five years in a social services environment, with direct service, and training experience.
Certifications: Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clearance to drive from TSA insurance.
