A substantial part of the 200-acre Viking Lakes mixed-use development, this destination is home to the Minnesota Vikings headquarters, Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center and TCO Stadium. The location is easily accessible from downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul, the Mall of America and airport, with additional uses for the planned development to include corporate offices, retail, restaurants and entertainment.



The 320-room luxury hotel features more than 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and pre-function space, including a 7,500-square-foot ballroom, a 4,410-square-foot event center and six two-story hospitality lounges for groups and meeting planners to utilize. From small board meetings, conferences and large galas or special events to Sunday football tailgates and more, the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel accommodates groups of all sizes with its robust meetings offerings, multiple food and beverage venues, a signature spa and state-of-the-art fitness facilities.

Omni Viking Lakes Hotel is seeking a Seasonal Bartender at Oase Pool. This team memberis responsible for providing drink orders to guests, servers, and managers, delivering prompt and courteous service, in accordance with Omni standards.

Salary for this position starts at (based on experience): $15.85/hour. Full Time Associates at Omni Viking Lakes are entitled to elect the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and other healthcare benefits, Paid Maternity Leave, 401k and Paid Time Off Accrual. Omni Viking Lakes reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.




  1. Be on time and adhere to uniform codes and policies.
  2. Knowledge of all drinks, recipes and specials offered. Complete pour tests as needed.
  3. Fill requisitions. Keep the bar fully stocked with fresh cut fruit, ice and all items on the par sheets, and return filled requisitions to Manager.
  4. Tender all checks opened in you number. All servers checks and close out servers at the end of their shift.
  5. Knowledge of the NCR including running all of the necessary reports as Cashier. If issued a bank it must always be equal to amount given.
  6. Basic knowledge of the menu and any menu specials offered for that particular day.
  7. Servicing customers at the bar and in the Lounge area. Keep bar and lounge spotless at all times.
  8. Never leave the bar unattended without designating a qualified person to cover the bar until you return.
  9. Answer the phone when needed (i.e., orders). Be able to answer any customers questions or direct them to someone who can.
  10. Transfer opened checks for customers who are waiting to be seated in the dining room to appropriate server.
  11. Bid the guests a fine farewell. Use their name whenever possible.



QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Two years bartending experience preferable.
  • TIPS Alcohol Certification
