What You'll Do Review vendor statements and research discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate account reconciliation Manage mail room activities related to Accounts Payable, including sorting and processing incoming invoices, checks, and correspondence Handle returned checks and coordinate resolution with internal teams and vendors Proactively contact vendors to communicate payment options, including enrollment in ACH versus check payments Educate vendors on preferred invoice submission methods, including emailing invoices to payables@cmc.com instead of mailing paper copies Mail tax certificates to vendors upon request Update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job aids, including documentation and screenshots Journal Entry Uploads Consolidate vendors to National Accounts Assist with any additional projects assigned by the AP Manager Perform verbal bank verifications with CMC customers and vendors Manage Help Desk tickets - communicate with internal customers Perform Master Data changes in SAP or CMC Sub-systems Assist with any additional projects assigned by the MD Manager What You'll Need Driven individual with honesty & integrity Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain a professional demeanor in all situations, and commitment to excellent customer services at all times Analytical & problem-solving skills Strong communication skills both verbal and written Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling Microsoft Office with beginner to intermediate skills Basic knowledge of accounts payable or procure to pay processes; relevant coursework, internships, or similar experience preferred Your Education High school diploma or equivalent required We are CMC, a Fortune 500 company at the leading edge of our industry.
