Role Overview:
The Project Development Associate is a highimpact earlycareer role at the center of utilityscale renewable energy development, supporting wind, solar, and battery storage projects from earlystage land acquisition through permitting and preconstruction. This position builds on foundational development experience and involves increased responsibility for project execution, external engagement, and crossfunctional coordination. Associates work closely with senior development leaders while independently owning key workstreams across multiple projects. The role is wellsuited for candidates seeking to deepen their development expertise, expand leadership skills, and take meaningful ownership in advancing complex infrastructure projects.

Main responsibilities:
- Support and oversee advancement of largescale wind, solar, and battery storage projects through multiple development stagegates
- Serve as a point of contact on assigned projects, supporting daytoday project execution across land, permitting, interconnection, and commercial readiness
- Represent EDPRNA in the field by leading engagement with landowners, including negotiation and administration of land agreements, such as options, leases, amendments, purchases, easements and crossing agreements
- Lead and coordinate community outreach and stakeholder engagement activities, including interaction with public officials and local representatives
- Manage the selection, contracting, and performance of external consultants such as land agents, permitting consultants, and community engagement contractors
- Create and compile project documentation, including due diligence materials, permit applications, exhibits, and supporting studies
- Coordinate efforts to obtain local, state, and federal permits, working with internal teams and external consultants
- Conduct and synthesize land, regulatory, market, and projectspecific research to inform development strategy and risk assessments
- Create, update, and maintain project GIS maps, databases, schedules, and trackers
- Secure and maintain compliance with transmission and interconnection agreements
- Coordinate internal inputs across development, engineering, legal, and finance teams to price projects for commercial offtake
- Support the preparation of bids and compliance with contracts with power purchasers
- Support project forecasting, portfolio tracking, and management reporting, identifying risks and elevating issues proactively
- Lead project meetings, driving forward decisions and tracking action items
- Mentor and provide guidance to Analysts and Coordinators on project tasks and processes
- Perform additional duties as required to support timely, highquality project delivery

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Political Science or a related field
- 1 - 3 years of progressively responsible project management or development experience in energy or a related industry
- Experience with implementing AI tools to increase efficiency preferred
- Strong knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS and Google Earth software preferred
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software with strong Excel skills preferred
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise. (Preferred).
Travel:
Up to 50%. Driver's License required.

- Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written verbal, diagram, or scheduled form
- Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
