What You'll Do

The Customer Performance Lab supports the entire Customer organization-including Digital Experience, AMI, Meter to Cash, Billing, and the Call Center-by delivering crosschannel and crossdepartmental insights that improve how customers move through our processes. The team analyzes operational, digital, and field interactions end to end to strengthen the customer journey and identify opportunities for continuous improvement across multiple portfolios.

As an intern, you will support data processing and analysis activities by helping create reports, explore data from multiple sources, validate datasets, and build Power BI dashboards. You will gain handson experience using tools such as SQL and data visualization software, with guidance and mentorship from experienced team members. You will work alongside business partners, IT teams, and other analysts to see how data is used to answer real business questions, build practical technical skills, and understand how datadriven insights support decisionmaking across the Customer organization.

Qualified applicants will be kept to a maximum of 20 hours per week while school is in session, with the possibility of more hours on winter and summer breaks and must commit to an internship experience of at least one year in duration. This position also has the option of office locations in either Brooklyn, NY or Waltham, MA.

What You'll Need
  • Registered in school as a full-time student and continuing education full-time through the Fall 2027 Semester
  • Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analysis, Statistics or related fields
  • Accumulated 18 or more credits and be at least 18 years of age
  • Can work a maximum of 20 hours a week during the school year
  • Work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (including OPT and CPT)
  • Located within a commutable distance to the identified work location

It would be awesome if you had

  • Experience with SQL, Python, and data visualization softwares

Salary Range

NY: $23.00 - $33.00 an hour

MA: $22.00 - $32.00 an hour

Candidates will be assessed and provided offers based on major, degree type, and class year. Our Gridtern Program does not offer relocation, housing assistance, or public transportation reimbursement for Gridterns; however, we can provide a list of resources to utilize in making your arrangements.

Please note that as a Gridtern, you must reside within our existing footprint, which includes Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, and Vermont. You must also reside within a reasonable, commutable distance to your assigned primary office.
