THE POSITION

As a Human Resource Analyst 3 with the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), you will play a key role in supporting the dedicated workforce at the Gino Merli Veterans' Center. This position lets you use your healthcare human resource (HR) experience to improve operations and strengthen employee support. You will help shape a positive workplace where staff feel valued and equipped to succeed. Your leadership will support the center's mission and long-term stability.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position oversees daily human resource operations and supports staff throughout the facility, with a focus on healthcare-related HR needs. It plays a major role in strengthening employee relations and maintaining compliance. As a Human Resource Analyst 3, you will perform the following duties:

  • HR Oversight: Supervise daily HR functions and guide staff in completing employee support tasks
  • Policy Guidance: Provide direction on policies, collective bargaining agreements, and consistent HR practices
  • Recruitment Support: Coordinate hiring efforts and analyze data to improve recruitment outcomes
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Offer guidance to employees, assist with skill assessment, and support career development
  • Injury Management: Review injury claims, coordinate with workers compensation staff, and serve on the Health and Safety Committee
  • Compliance Duties: Prepare documentation and assist with audits from state and federal agencies

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Human Resource Analyst 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Three years of analytical experience that includes two years of professional human resource experience, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must possess one or more years of full-time professional Human Resource experience working in a healthcare setting.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
