DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position helps maintain sanitation and infection control across the hospital to support a clean and secure environment. As a Custodial Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Cleaning Tasks: Clean floors, restrooms, fixtures, and other assigned areas to support sanitation efforts
- Equipment Use: Operate and maintain floor care tools, carts, and cleaning equipment safely
- Supply Handling: Transport, store, and organize cleaning materials, linens, and needed supplies
- Safety Awareness: Follow proper procedures for chemical use, protective gear, and reporting hazards
- Task Coordination: Receive instructions, communicate with supervisors, and move between work areas as needed

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime: As needed
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
