We have an opportunity for a Marketing Tradeshow Specialist to join our Golden Valley MN team. You will play a key role in overseeing tradeshow initiatives and logistics from start to finish. The Tradeshow Marketing Specialist will drive tradeshows through planning, directing, coordinating, and make sure no lead is left behind. The ideal candidate will not shy away from working hand-in-hand with sales and marketing to ensure the highest quality execution, lead management, post-show follow-up, and reporting. This individual will also demonstrate a high level of organizational skills and attention to detail. This is a fast-paced environment that helps drive demand across the globe. This role will report directly to the Marketing Director, Commercial Water Solutions.

Travel Requirement:

  • Ability to travel approximately 30%, with higher travel demands during peak event seasons (January-April and September-November).

You will:

  • Manage and oversee tradeshows on the day of, which includes on-site support such as problem-solving, directing event set-up, communicating with production teams, and organizing vendors, and managing take-down.
  • Administer the execution, logistical planning, adhere to deadlines, and be attentive to the value of staying under budget, for all tradeshows.
  • Coordinate tradeshow planning and execution with sales and marketing stakeholders by providing concise and timely updates per event and helping to build marketing event/program calendars to increase awareness, drive engagement and generate leads.
  • Track tradeshows through action registries, automated systems, and generate metrics & ongoing reporting to measure the success, while also creating reports based on findings.
  • Manage vendor relationships: Communicate, provide direction, review and analyze vendor execution of assigned projects.
  • Act as a key member of the marketing team and collaborate to create strong relationships with cross-functional partners across the enterprise (Sr Leadership, Product Management, Regional and Territory Sales Managers, Customer Service, Training Teams, and others).
  • Foster a collaborative team environment with open communication, identifying problems, and establishing resolutions.
  • Measure effectiveness of tradeshows through establishing lead and purchase tracking processes.
  • Manage and maintain event assets and other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communication, Business, Liberal Arts, or equivalent background
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in event or tradeshow planning, budgeting, negotiating contracts, project management required.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and operate with senior executives, sales teams, and vendors.
  • Effective facilitation, project management, and organizational skills
  • A calm, organized approach to working with attention to detail with poise under pressure.
  • A strong track record of performance excellence meeting targets and objectives
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, demanding timelines, and multiple projects independently or with limited supervision/direction.
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and editing skills.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills and able to work well in a team environment.
  • Creative and critical thinking
  • Desire to develop expert level of understanding of our brands and customers.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82300- $152800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
