Why This Role? * Learn a skilled trade with longterm career potential * Paid, structured training with clear progression * Handson, fieldbased work (not stuck behind a desk) * Work directly with homeowners helping them protect what matters * Overtime opportunities available * Consistent workload in your local metro area What You'll Be Doing (After Training) As a Security Systems Installer, you'll work in residential homes installing, programming, and supporting security technology, including: * Installation and programming of: * Burglar alarm systems * CCTV systems (IP & Analog) * DVRs * Access control systems * Installing sensors such as: * Door and window contacts * Glass break detectors * Smoke detectors * Troubleshooting signal and connectivity issues * Testing and verifying system signals * Training homeowners on: * System operation * Mobile app connectivity * Equipment usage and best practices * Completing required customer documentation * Accurately tracking and costing materials used per job * Maintaining accurate truck inventory * Delivering toptier customer service on every visit * Achieving performance goals, including: * 90% goal attainment * Zero installation "gobacks" Paid Training Program (StepbyStep) Week 1 - Paid classroom & LMS training at a local branch Week 2 - Ridealong field training with a senior technician Week 3 - Handson installations with senior tech oversight Weeks 4-5 - Continued field training until fully independent * Training is paid at a training pay rate * Once independent, technicians are moved to full active technician pay Who This Role Is Perfect For You don't need prior alarm experience to apply. Successful technicians often come from backgrounds such as: * Construction, electrical, cable, or low voltage * Mechanical or technical trades * HVAC, automotive, or field service * Military or handson vocational education * Customerfacing roles that required technical problem solving If you already have security alarm or low voltage experience, you may also assist with service tickets and troubleshooting sooner. Required Skills & Traits * Comfortable using hand and power tools * Basic understanding of wiring, construction, or technology * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Reliable, punctual, and adaptable * Customerfocused mindset with strong problemsolving abilities * Able to read customer cues and explain technical concepts clearly * Comfortable working inside homes and at heights (ladder use) Tools & Equipment CandidateProvided (can build over time): * Ladder (foldable or extension recommended; Little Giant Velocity Model 17 is suggested) * Basic tools including: * Screwdrivers * Electric drill * Wire cutters * Hand sheetrock saw You do not need all tools on day one-just an understanding that this is expected over time. Provided: * PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) * Uniform polo shirts Vehicle & Travel Expectations * Reliable personal vehicle required * Most work is within the local metro area * Some travel up to a 2hour radius (not daily) Mileage & Gas Reimbursement * Up to $100/week gas reimbursement (with receipts) * Mileage over 300 miles/week can be expensed separately Schedule & Overtime * Typical schedules: * Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday * Overtime and sixthday work may be available (never forced) * End times vary - technicians stay until the job is completed (5 PM, 6 PM, or later) Experience Level * Entrylevel candidates with strong handson aptitude are encouraged to apply Ready to Start a Trade Career? Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
