Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) is seeking to hire an Oracle Database Administrator with knowledge and experience in the following:

  • General relational database management systems (RDBMS) of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Database installation, configuration, administration, and patching.
  • Development, UAT and Production database administration (DBA) experience
  • Database security, database architecture and data analysis.
  • Work with development and operations teams on technical issues including system design and maintenance.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks.
  • Perform system testing and validation procedures.
  • Communicate regularly with technical peers and senior management. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Systems may consist of servers, desktops, storage devices, data center components, utility software, or equivalent infrastructure components.
  • Comply with team processes and practices for execution of assigned tasks.
  • Does not manage employees, but may mentor and/or train subordinates.
  • Initiates improvements for the function.
  • Arrives at conclusion based on previous experiences and good judgment.
  • Works safely with particular attention to quality. Complies with all policies and standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree + 2-4 yrs of relevant experience
  • For ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship is Legally Required

  • Knowledge of or experience with Oracle
  • Experience with SQL Developer, script writing, and/or other database applications including : MySQL, MongoDB, and/or SQLlite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Enterprise Manager Experience
  • Experience SQL tuning, writing, and optimizing SQL and PL/SQL
