Department Information

The School of Mathematics faculty instructs students from across campus, including undergraduates and graduates. Its faculty conduct research across a wide variety of Mathematical Sciences. Expertise in the School of Mathematical Biology includes immunology, microbial dynamics, several areas at the interface of molecular biology and discrete mathematics, disease transmission, biological networks, mathematical neuroscience, bioinformatics, statistical methods in biology, and aggregation dynamics.

Job Summary

The Human Resource Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and provide services to support the effective operations of the organization's HR department.
Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Review and coordinate the process of hiring requests from unit management.

Job Duty 2 -
Coordinate activities associated with employee onboarding and orientation; May assist with recruitment efforts and selection process.

Job Duty 3 -
Respond to inquiries regarding Institute and departmental HR policies and procedures; make referrals when appropriate.

Job Duty 4 -
Maintain employees' records and transactions, including salary, job, termination, and other related changes.

Job Duty 5 -
Initiate and/or process HR-related documentation (hiring packages, posting requests, schedules, and reports, etc.)

Job Duty 6 -
Oversee the preparation and submission of visa applications and petitions for international employees, ensuring compliance with all immigration laws and regulations.

Job Duty 7 -
Serve as a resource for employees regarding immigration-related inquiries, providing guidance on visa options, processes, and timelines.

Job Duty 8 -
Stay informed about changes in immigration laws and regulations, updating policies and procedures as necessary to ensure compliance.
Job Duty 9 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Preferred Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent.

Preferred Required Experience
Proven expertise in immigration policies and procedures, with the ability to manage immigration-related inquiries and provide informed guidance on visa options, application processes, and associated timelines.
Proposed Salary

Pay Range: $27.50-$31.50/hr.
