Essential Functions & Responsibilities

The Vice President HR Business Partners leads the organization's HRBP and Field HR teams, ensuring strong alignment between business priorities and people strategies across regions, sites, or business units. This role serves as a senior partner to the operational leadership, driving organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, workforce planning, and consistent HR execution.

The VP translates enterprise HR strategy into practical, business-focused solutions and ensures that leaders receive proactive soaching, support, and guidance to build high-performing teams and a strong employee expereince. THis role works in close partnership with HR Centers of Excellence including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, and HR Operations and reports directly into the Chief Human Resources Officer.

Ideal candidates will bring an HR background from an industrial services-oriented, distributed workforce industry. This leader will bring proven human resources strategies to support organic growth as well as mergers and/or acquisitions. This person is driven to develop a best-in-class HR platform, while continuing to lead the function by example and serve as a visible people leader to front-line supervisors and employees.

This position requires 30-40% routine overnight travel to our facilities throughout the US.

Essential Functions and Requirements:

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of HR Business Partners.
  • Establish consistent HRBP operating models, expectations, and service delivery across locations.
  • Strengthen HRBP capability in strategic consulting, leader coaching, and operational execution.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex organizational and employee matters.

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Partner with senior operational leaders to align people strategies with business objectives.
  • Support workforce planning, organizational design, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, engagement, and team effectiveness.
  • Drive accountability and leadership capability across the organization.
  • Support Organizational Effectiveness & Change Leadership.
  • Lead HR support for restructuring, growth initiatives, and operational change.
  • Identify organizational trends and develop proactive solutions to improve performance and culture.
  • Ensure consistent execution of performance management and talent processes in the field.
  • Support leadership succession planning and talent reviews in partnership with COEs.

Employee Relations & Risk Management

  • Oversee complex employee relations issues and investigations.
  • Ensure consistent policy application and employment practice compliance across locations.
  • Partner with Legal and HR Operations to mitigate organizational risk.
  • Strengthen manager capability to address issues early and effectively.
  • Collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on workforce and hiring strategies.
  • Align with Total Rewards to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.
  • Work with Learning & Development to enhance frontline and leadership capability.
  • Provide field insights to inform enterprise HR programs and initiatives.


Education

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.


Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership of HR Business Partner or Field HR teams.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or operational environments (manufacturing, distribution, retail, or field services preferred).
  • Strong background in employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and change management.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive business outcomes through people strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
