Job Summary

The Associate Field Construction Engineer supports the successful completion of construction projects and will work onsite at one of our client locations. This role will assist in materials selection and vendor design and detail review to ensure project specifications are met. This role will sup-port construction sequencing and logistics coordination to facilitate successful project execution. This position will assist with startup and commissioning activities and participate in design-build coordination meetings. Work is performed under supervision within defined guidelines. Candidates should be local to Alexandria, VA.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate basic engineering related aspects of construction projects
  • Assist in materials selection to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Support vendor design and detail review to verify accuracy and quality
  • Participate in construction sequencing to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Help with logistics coordination to manage the flow of resources and materials.
  • Perform basic design optimization and value engineering tasks
  • Assist in startup and commissioning activities.
  • Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.


Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions and guidelines.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding in vendor design review
  • Strong understanding of materials selection, logistics coordination, and construction sequencing.
  • An understanding of vendor design details, design optimization, and value engineering.
  • Basic knowledge in project management techniques.


Experience

  • Typically requires minimum of 2 years of construction engineering, project management or related experience related field or equivalent experience is required.


Education

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in construction engineering or a related field is required.


Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location C: $93,000 - $127,000
