POSITION SPECIFICS

The purpose of this position is to serve as the Housing & Food Service (HFS) representative for electronic and keyed access control needs. This includes maintenance and operations of HFS interests within the University-wide access card management software (CCure) and the HFS Access Management System (AMS), as well as inventory and control of key assets. In addition, this role will be tasked with consulting on the technical aspects of the above systems to help shape policy and process and to engage with end users in an advisory and educational role.

Primary Duties

  • Be knowledgeable on Penn State access and key control policy. Assist in structuring HFS systems, processes, and protocols to follow the appropriate PSU policy.
  • Be responsible for all CCure administration and auditing.
  • Troubleshooting of all electronic access control issues within CCure associated with doors, clearances, schedules, credentials, and other miscellaneous failures.
  • Coordinate with the office of University Police & Public Safety (UPPS) staff and the PSU ID office as needed to assist with resolution. Coordinate with the HFS Door Technician and OPP if repair to physical devices is warranted. Track all items and ensure closeout.
  • Responsible for all AMS Administration and Auditing
  • Create and manage all sponsored accounts for non-university personnel.
  • Schedule and execute annual key audits. Record results and resolve issues if keys are missing.
  • Assist with the implementation of access and security projects.
  • Be the initial point of contact for Housing Management as it relates to the keyless student room lock systems.
  • Manage shutdown request notifications from OPP.
  • Receive inquiries regarding video surveillance data requests from HFS management and lead discussions with University Police & Public Safety team members to fulfill the need.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Associate Degree 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $42,100.00 - $61,000.00.
