What to Expect TheNPI Technician is primarily responsible forensuringthesuccessfullaunch ofthe newest Energy products and sub-components,turningnewengineering designtomass production.This person is expected to be able to execute against provided manufacturing instructions (if available),validatetheir own work, check the quality ofpreviousoperations, mentor production associates, lead builds in definedarea, and meet schedules. The NPI Technician is expected to be able to provide feedback, define standard work, and suggest process improvements. Experience with hand tools and use of semi-automated manufacturing equipment is necessary. This role will be based out of the Greater Houston Area (TX)howeverwill be expected to work in Palo Alto/Lathrop (CA) to support prototype builds and validation for the first 1-2 months. Other travel may berequired. Travel plans and reimbursement will follow Tesla's Travel Policy and will be governed by the direct manager.
