Job Description

Overview of the Position:


Responsible to perform daily kitting tasks as directed by the Kitting Manager, with exceptional follow through and attention to detail. Will meet or exceed customer expectations, delivering nothing but excellence to their internal and external customers.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Picks, packs, and stages kits per customer kit requirements.
  • Update work order status in ERP system.
  • Reviews kit priority report daily.
  • Reports any inventory issues to Kitting Manager.
  • Supports inventory projects as needed.
  • Performs final inspection on all kits to ensure quality standards.
  • Provides daily deliveries to local customers.
  • Fulfillment services for local consignments customer.
  • Prepare and provide proper documentation via the cloud.
  • Handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) for assigned accounts as required.
  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
  • Report any accidents or incidents that occur immediately to a supervisor.
  • Other duties that may be assigned.



Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Capable of working well independently and within attendance guidelines.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime.
  • Knowledge of warehouse/distribution areas of shipping, order filling and material control, AVIATION COMPONENT EXPERIENCE STRONGLY DESIRED.
  • Capable of learning how to operate and maintain packaging machinery.
  • Knowledge of good commercial packaging requirements, government specifications, and bar coding preferred. Familiar with the safe use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.

Requirements

Education / Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Experience with general warehouse equipment forklift, pallet jack, wrap (forklift certification preferred). Equivalent required with three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.



Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
