Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as a Senior Transportation Project/Client Manager in Bloomington, MN.

As a client/project manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Serve as the primary client manager for transportation projects, fostering strong, longterm client relationships.
  • Oversee project scope development, schedules, budgets, staffing, and risk management.
  • Prepare and review project deliverables such as plans, specifications, reports, cost estimates, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and external agencies to ensure effective project execution.
  • Provide quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) oversight to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Support business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, preparing scopes, fee proposals, and participating in interviews and pursuits.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including invoicing, change management, and cost control.
  • Mentor and guide junior and midlevel project managers and technical staff.
  • Maintain familiarity with state DOT standards, local agency requirements, federal transportation regulations, and requirements associated with alternative delivery methods (e.g., Design-Build, CMGC).
  • Represent the firm in client meetings, public meetings, and agency coordination efforts.

A valid driver's license and travel (approximately 5-10%) will be required.

The successful candidate must have the following:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in civil engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.

The ideal candidate will have any/all the following:

  • At least 15 or more years of relevant experience is highly preferred
  • PE license is preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency with design and project management tools (e.g., MicroStation/OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, project financial systems).
  • Experience supporting or leading business development and proposal efforts.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Salary Range: $150,000-180,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
