Sr Health, Safety, and Environmental Engineer Job

Salary Range: $96,500 - $127,900

Bonus: 10%

About the Role:

We're looking for a proactive and collaborative HES Engineer to help drive a safe, compliant, and sustainable culture at our manufacturing site. In this role, you'll partner closely with site leadership and employees to support environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance while continuously improving site performance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both hands-on problem solving and strategic program development in a dynamic environment.

Key Duties:

  • Support regulatory compliance by helping track, prepare, and submit required environmental and safety reports
  • Serve as a subject matter resource on health, safety, and environmental topics for the site team
  • Assist with environmental and safety programs, including inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in incident investigations and help identify root causes and preventive actions
  • Contribute to Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, including hazard reviews and program support
  • Deliver training and promote awareness of safety and environmental practices across the site
  • Identify opportunities to reduce risk and enhance workplace safety and sustainability
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to maintain strong compliance and communication

We welcome candidates with a variety of backgrounds and experiences. You might be a great fit if you have:

  • Expereince in health, safety, environmental, or related roles (manufacturing or industrial environments are a plus)
  • Knowledge of environmental or safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT,e tc.) or a strong interest in developing expertise in these areas
  • Strong problem-solving, communuication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with incident investigations, audits, or compliance programs is helpful but not required
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, environmental science, safety, or a realted field preferred
  • Relevant (ASP, CSP, CIH, etc.) are a plus, not required
  • Equivilent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Working Conditions:

  • This role is based in a manufacturing setting and invovlves working closely with operations and technical teams.
  • Hands-on presence in the plant is requeired.
