Job Description
We are seeking a Clinical Informatics Analyst (RN) to serve as a critical bridge between clinical practice and information technology. In this role, you will help optimize clinical workflows, support best practices, and drive successful adoption of clinical information systems across both acute and ambulatory settings. Operating with moderate independence, you will lead smaller projects or key components of larger initiatives while collaborating closely with clinical teams and IT. Your work will directly contribute to improving patient safety, enhancing care quality, and increasing operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive current and future state workflow analyses, identifying inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Design and recommend optimized workflows aligned with evidence-based practices and patient safety standards
  • Translate clinical needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for system design and build
  • Support the design, implementation, and optimization of clinical applications, including EHR systems
  • Ensure all systems and workflows comply with regulatory standards (HIPAA, JCAHO) and organizational policies
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex system and workflow issues
  • Contribute to innovative informatics solutions that support clinical and strategic goals
  • Mentor and guide superusers and junior clinical analysts
  • Manage workflow and process changes to ensure successful system adoption and optimization
  • Collaborate with IT and clinical leadership to align technology with business and patient care needs
  • Evaluate and recommend new clinical systems and technologies (e.g., registries, interface engines)
  • Support system selection and purchasing decisions through informed recommendations
  • Implement audit and review processes to ensure project success and accountability
  • Provide hands-on support during system go-lives and act as a key resource for end users
  • Promote quality improvement, patient safety, and a culture of inclusion
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, organizational, and corporate compliance requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
