Description We are excited to open a new medical surgical floor to keep up with our growingneed.In our Medical Surgical Telemetry units, we see a variety of medical and post-op surgical patients.We have the capacity to remotely monitor our patient's telemetry status. For that reason,all ofour Registered Nurses receive telemetry training and are ACLS certified. Our unit is fast-paced and there is always an opportunity to learn about new disease processes. This unit will provide you with the fundamental basics that are essential for any nurse when applying your knowledge in the acute care setting. Summary: Provides basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff and ensures patient safety and well-being. Responsibilities: Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Answering patient calls and helping patients with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Feeding patients, measuring, and recording their food and liquid intake. Monitoring and documenting patients' temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs and reporting changes to nurses or doctors. Assisting nurses or doctors with medical procedures and dressing wounds. Job Requirements: Education/Skills High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience 1 year of experience required. 3 - 5 years of experience preferred. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications BLS required. National PCT Certification (includes Phlebotomy and EKG) preferred. Work Schedule: 7AM - 7PM Work Type: Full Time
