The Sr. Financial Aid Specialist - Technology Adoption and Engagement serves as the functional expert for all systems and technology used within the Financial Aid Department. This role is responsible for driving effective adoptions, optimization, and continuous improvement of technology solutions by deeply understanding department workflow, user needs, and business processes. The Sr. Financial Aid Specialist - Technology Adoption and Engagement plays a key role in translating operational needs into technology solutions, developing and delivering training and resources, and fostering a culture of engagement and accountability around system usage. This role reports to the Senior Director of Financial Aid - Advising and Outreach.

REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's Degree preferred. High-school diploma required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in supporting technology systems, training, or project management required.


Compensation is determined based on the qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for employees to start near the top of the salary range. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a tuition waiver and reimbursement program, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan. The hourly rate range for this position is $28.35 to $38.36.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all systems and technology utilized within the Financial Aid department, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of workflows, user roles, and system interdependencies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Financial Aid leadership, IT, compliance, and training teams to support the design, implementation, and optimization of systems and technology solutions.
  • Drive system adoption and engagement by developing, tracking, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends, and implementing strategies for continuous improvement, in partnership with leadership and compliance.
  • Create and maintain all training resources that relate to systems used by the financial aid team, i.e. Operational Guidebook, HUB Guide, etc.
  • Ensure product quality by assisting with testing software features to ensure they satisfy the acceptance criteria and work with stakeholders and end users to coordinate user acceptance testing activities.
  • Conduct regular audits on user set-up of all systems to ensure proper usage and adoption of expected resources.
  • Partner with IT to coordinate and maintain training environments and system configurations to support effective training delivery.
  • Partner with the Director of Systems Training and Adoption to ensure alignment with university system and adoption initiatives.
  • Coordinate with functional leaders and trainers to build out and maintain the knowledge base and chat solution for peak effectiveness.
  • Partner with project leaders across all phases of system updates and new implementations to ensure effective training and adoption strategies are developed, aligned, and successfully executed.
  • Lead and execute assigned projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with departmental and institutional goals, timelines, and success metrics.
  • Maintain ongoing expertise in relevant systems and emerging technologies, identifying gaps and recommending enhancements to support long-term strategy and operational excellence.
  • All other duties as assigned.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position most of the time.
  • Must be able to occasionally move around the work location.
  • Constantly operates office and/or teach equipment which may include computers, copiers, fax machines, audio/visuals.
  • Frequently uses voice and hearing to communicate with students, staff or colleagues face-to-face or over the telephone.
  • Visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess.
  • Occasionally move, carry, or lift 10 pounds.
