Responsibilities
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications and NDE requirements.
  • Create, interpret, and communicate FPI inspection techniques to customer requirements.
  • Support inspection process development and qualification projects.
  • Support NDT NADCAP and customer audits.
  • Support NDT production as needed.
  • Support AS9100D audits
  • Support the Quality Management System (QMS) as directed by the Quality Manager
  • Help identify and apply continuous improvement opportunities
  • Mentor, train, and support NDT inspectors.
  • Support production with throughput and inspection, as needed.
  • Support product conformity across all the Value Streams of the site.
  • Support calibration, production control and monitoring systems.
  • Support as needed any required interaction with internal and external systems

Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.
  • Must hold a current NAS410 Level 3 certification in FPI. Level 2's also encouraged to apply with 1+ years of experience as a FPI NAS410 certified Level 2
  • Experience with Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering and Quality.
  • Experience with quality standards including AS9145, AS9100D, ISO9001, ASTM E1417
  • Must be able to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Must be familiar with NAS 410 / ASTM specifications.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications.

Other positive but not required Qualifications:

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma.
  • Experience with JDE
  • Experience with advanced structures (aerospace).
  • Able to communicate and make presentations to senior/executive level leadership.
  • Advanced Education in applicable methods or professional degree.
  • Detail and bench inspection
