What to Expect

The Manufacturing Technician will help with dimensional studies, GR&R, fixture certification, metal fit to fixtures, follow up to vision systems and work with the point cloud of the product to ensure our systems are reading the features specified by design, including the nominal and tolerances.

Manufacturing Technicians are cross-functional and will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Production to ensure products meet the specifications required as per design, he will work in vehicle design changes and new vehicle designs from initial concept through prototype development and into full production.


What You'll Do
  • Work with engineers to develop, implement and maintain BIW Manufacturing processes
  • Work with the engineers to develop and implement improvements to existing manufacturing processes
  • Assess in-house manufacturing capabilities and implement new processes and/or equipment where justifiable to expand those capabilities
  • Collaborate with all levels of engineering in the development of new ideas; review of current documentation and implementation of changes as required
  • Provide leadership and supervision of critical processes to root-cause quality or dimensional issues
  • Provide detailed reports after dimensional analysis completion which will help engineers to make decisions

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of related experience developing quality analysis to root cause the issues in different processes, by using Polyworks or Catia software to be able to simulate assembly behavior by using different constraints with each part
  • Extensive proficiency creating dimensional reports with Polyworks by using different types of alignments that are representative of the processes
  • Work independently with metrology equipment like portable arm, laser tracker, etc.
  • Work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
  • Maintain flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments, coping with rapidly changing information
