Summary:
The Leave Management Analyst, reporting to the Manager, Leave Management will have hands-on responsibility for leave administration, strategy, analysis, communication, and compliance for all U.S. leave programs. The Leave Management Analyst will perform detailed and comprehensive analysis, develop recommendations, and facilitate processes and systems supporting the design and administration of leave processes. LM Analyst will support employee customer service and education on leave plans, leave policies, and programs, assist with issue resolution and positive vendor relationships. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Partner with Leave Manager to perform research, data collection, leave data analysis, and formulate recommendations for updated state and federal leave laws. Provide administration of Leave of Absence. Effectively communicate all phases of Leave lifecycle with employees, managers and HR Business Partner as needed. Provides input in the ongoing development and administration of the leave program strategy and design. Train and mentor new staff members. Responsible for adhering to leave policies and processes including state, local and company programs. Manages leave case log administration and analysis of Leave throughout the leave process. Communications with Short Term Disability vendor as needed on email requests for employee data. Facilitates the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) interactive process in compliance with applicable laws, guidelines and company policies and processes and coordinates the non-occupational return to work program and reasonable accommodations. Coordinates reasonable accommodations with employee, managers, and HR Business Partner. Facilitates the administration of the disability program, processes, and communications.to ensure compliance with ADA, Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) among other laws and guidelines. Responsible for internal and external relationships with stakeholders: employees, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), and managers. Coordinates Workers Compensation (WC) leave with employees based on email communication from Employee Health. Assists in communication between leave management and human resources with internal philosophy on work-life balance initiatives. Will be responsible for external benchmarking marketplace best practices for all things leave related. Promote a team atmosphere by treating individuals with respect and honesty and by using direct communication and active listening skills.

Physical/Mental Demands:
  • Function with a great deal of autonomy.

  • Able to travel by car between different locations on a occasional basis.

  • Verbal and hearing ability required to interact with patients and employees. Numerical ability required to maintain records and operate a computer.

  • Can work under pressure, tight timelines and interact with staff at all levels with tact, empathy and diplomacy.

  • Tact required to interact effectively with employees and professional staff.

  • Must be able to read and communicate through written, verbal and auditory skills and abilities.

  • Physically/Mentally able to perform job duties as verified by a physical exam by a licensed physician, per post-employment physical.

Education & Training:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources Management, Healthcare, or related field preferred.

  • Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS) preferred.

  • Minimum of two to four years of experience with FMLA and ADA required.

  • One - Two years of general office experience.

  • Working knowledge of HRIS, Leave Management software, and vendor systems required.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex topics and interact with all levels of management and associates, including HR partners, Executives, Legal and Business leaders.

  • Able to take initiative, effective at prioritizing multiple projects, comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

  • Disability claims experience preferred.

  • Experience with Payroll preferred.

  • Remote Work or hybrid.

  • Experience with health care setting preferred.
