Compensation At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $124,960 - $165,572. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria. Join Our Team as a Staff Engineer - Torque Tool Strategy! Are you passionate about Engineering? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Advanced Manufacturing group. As a Staff Engineer - Torque Tool Strategy, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. Responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintainability strategy for torque tool deployment across multiple manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise integrating torque monitored solutions with existing processes and manufacturing execution systems to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in assembly operations.
- Plan and implement scalable torque tools strategy from specification and procurement through installation, programming, validation, and plan for maintainability.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Product Engineering, Operations, Maintenance and IT/IoT teams to ensure proper tool selection, process integration, usage, calibration, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with equipment vendors to identify industry leading torque tools and control systems capable of enterprise-wide deployment
- Develop standardized documentation including standard work, preventative maintenance plans, and programming parameters.
- Lead torque system, ERP, and MES integration for data collection, process monitoring and control.

What you'll Need to Succeed: Education: Required
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical or Engineering degree with equivalent experience

- Master's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Lean Six Sigma certification

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required:
- 8+ years of demonstrated experience in designing and implementing processes within a high-volume, high-mix or semi automated manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in manufacturing engineering strategies and tools with extensive knowledge in value stream mapping, lean six sigma, DFMA, and manufacturing systems design.
- Proven record of leading projects with challenging scope, schedule and cost targets from concept through validation and sustainment.
- Adept business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex systems to identify high impact opportunities, guide informed decisions, solve challenging issues, and leverage data and learnings to drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent organization and communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation); able to interface with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, from senior executives to support staff, and present compellingly to achieve buy-in from executives, managers, and team members.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, navigate and resolve conflict, moderate behaviors, and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience.
- Ability to travel as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting - Continuously required to remain in a stationary position and perform desk-based tasks for hours at a time.
- Walking - Occasionally required to walk moderate distances across the S&C campus.
- Lifting - Infrequently required to solo lift supplies weighing from 5 to 20 pounds and some operation of hand carts.
- Observation / Eyesight - Infrequently required to observe details at close range, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to differentiate between colors.
- Communication - Frequently required to talk and hear, in person and by phone/conference calls.
- Travel - Infrequent travel and work extended hours. Potential to travel overnight.

- Frequently working on the shop floor and office-based environment.
