Job Description

The Corporate Accounting Senior Manager provides enterprise-wide leadership, governance, and technical accounting oversight to support accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
This role leads teams responsible for key areas including expense accounting and reporting, fixed assets, accruals and operating expenses, employee compensation and benefits (including equity compensation), intercompany accounting, and capital transactions.

The Senior Manager ensures consistent application of GAAP and STAT across legal entities, with a strong emphasis on standardization, scalable processes, and effective control design.

The Corporate Accounting Senior Manager prepares and reviews financial reports and analyses to support management decision-making and validates financial information for compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and external reporting standards through close partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Manage accounting team for employee compensation and benefits, including payroll-related accruals, equity compensation accounting, and benefit-related expenses.

  • Oversee accounting team for accrual, prepaid expenses, and operating expenses, ensuring accurate period recognition.

  • Manages intercompany accounting team, including settlements, eliminations, and reconciliation of intercompany balances across legal entities.

  • Oversee accounting team for capital transactions, including equity and debt-related transactions, ensuring proper accounting treatment and documentation.

  • Manage preparation and review of statutory and GAAP financial reporting, including schedules, exhibits, and internal management reports.

Close, Controls & Compliance

  • Direct monthly and quarterly close activities for expenses, capital transactions, intercompany transactions, including review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and internal control standards, identifying and escalating issues asappropriate.

  • Support and coordinate internal and external audits activities, including preparation of audit documentation and responses related to applicable accounting processes.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage, coach, and develop accounting staff by setting priorities, providing direction, and ensuring performance and development expectations are met.

  • Lead multiple complex accounting and financial projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.

  • Identify and drive process improvement and efficiency initiatives within accounting, with a focus on standardization, scalability and control effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., Finance, HR, Tax, Treasury, and Systems) to support business initiatives and resolve accounting issues.

  • 7+ years of accounting experience

  • Experience with pension accounting, equity compensation accounting, lease accounting and enterprise or corporate accounting processes preferred

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This job has supervisory duties.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls and financial reporting

  • Can implement the process used to create a vision and develop a mission statement, which aligns to our Enterprise vision and mission statements.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Significant experience with financial ledger software

  • Demonstrated ability to form, lead and develop high-performing teams

  • Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 120,000.00 - 193,725.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
