What you'll do:

As a Business Architect, you will serve as a vital bridge between high-level business strategy and technical engineering to drive the architectural excellence and scalability of our sales enablement ecosystems. Your core responsibilities include scoping, analyzing, and implementing key capabilities such as Seismic integrations and Model Context Protocol (MCP) workflows in partnership with internal developers and external vendors. By orchestrating analytics, metadata, and LLM capabilities, you will ensure the enterprise is optimized for AI-driven agents and innovative digital solutions. Additionally, you will drive SalesConnect operational excellence by staffing a technical support queue, creating high-impact dashboards and reports, and by providing stakeholder training and guidance as needed.

You will work with Cisco Sellers, Operations, Marketing, SalesConnect business, and various IT teams to drive business requirements and capabilities from concept to reality.

You will combine strong business analysis skills with an understanding of the Agile framework to review business processes, document requirements, and translate technical documentation into actionable project goals. You will leverage your technical expertise in Generative AI, RAG systems, and integration standards like REST APIs and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to drive innovative solutions. You will operate with a collaborative ethos, partnering with vendors and core SalesConnect team members while clearly communicating complex concepts. Most importantly, you find genuine fulfillment in empowering team members and stakeholders to achieve their objectives while proactively cultivating a positive and collaborative work culture.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Agentic Automation: Utilize Agentic AI and LLMs to automate complex tasks, streamline end-to-end workflows, and enhance user engagement.

  • Generative AI Integration: Leverage ChatGPT, Seismic Aura, and third-party AI tools to design, deploy and refine solutions that achieve complex sales enablement goals.

  • Interoperability: Integrate Seismic with other Sales Enablement tools to facilitate critical data flows and ensure seamless cross-platform interoperability.

  • API Scoping & Support: Serve as the primary liaison for internal teams and third-party vendors to scope APIs for integration, providing comprehensive API documentation and assisting with Seismic API App configuration.

  • Visual Architecture: Create integration and flow diagrams using Miro and PowerPoint to synthesize abstract concepts into clear, actionable roadmaps for business stakeholders.

  • Standardization: Maintain deep oversight of integration standards, including REST APIs and the Model Context Protocol (MCP), to facilitate smooth data exchange.

  • Agile Story Development: Actively engage with product owners and stakeholders to translate solution needs into actionable user stories and refined acceptance criteria.

  • Feature Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full product lifecycle-from initial stakeholder intake and gap analysis to sequencing enhancements that align with the overall product strategy.

  • Solution Evaluation: Collaborate with development teams to design and evaluate solutions while considering relative value and ROI.

  • Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively plan risk mitigation strategies and analyze upstream / downstream impacts of requirements within the agile environment.

  • Testing Leadership: Write comprehensive test cases for user stories and coordinate both Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure functionality meets business needs.

  • Platform Stabilization: Conduct stabilization analysis to ensure the reliability of implemented solutions while providing ongoing training and support documentation to users.

  • Operational Support: Manage a technical case queue focused on user access and management issues and provide general operations support and subject matter expertise as needed.

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve architectural and functional issues related to product enhancements, ensuring minimum disruption to the sales enablement ecosystem.

  • Advanced Analytics: Design and maintain executive-level dashboards using Seismic reporting features.

  • Reporting Governance: Define and track KPIs for SalesConnect stakeholders and lead training sessions to empower others to build advanced analytical reports and dashboards

  • Security & Compliance: Audit user permissions and implement access restrictions to meet rigorous platform security requirements and user provisioning standards.

  • IT Collaboration: Collaboration with IT to develop solution frameworks that effectively address existing constraints and leverage emerging opportunities.

  • Strategic Communication: Provide transparent status updates and effectively communicate the impact of proposed solutions to all stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the project.

  • Release Collateral: Develop comprehensive documentation for new releases, including FAQs, help documents, and video tutorials.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage actively with product owners and stakeholders to translate solution needs into actionable user stories, aligned with the scoping, analysis, implementation, and execution of key capabilities.

  • Capability Analysis: Understand the business issues driving the capability needs and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align goals and desired outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with experience in business, marketing, and / or IT related fields.

  • Experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst with 6-8 years of experience connected with new product releases, feature enhancements, and system integrations.

  • Experience developing and administering Seismic, complemented with expertise in other Content Management Systems and CRMs.

  • Experience deploying and rigorously testing AI-powered Chatbots and Agents that are integrated with Sales Enablement platforms (e.g., Seismic).

  • Experience creating and maintaining reporting frameworks that provide leadership and stakeholders with actionable insights related to content engagement and team productivity.

  • Experience configuring search settings, analyzing usage patterns, and optimizing content for maximum discoverability.

Message to applicants applying to work in the U.S. and/or Canada: The starting salary range posted for this position is $109,300.00 to $145,200.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits.

Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. For locations not listed below, the recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.

U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Cisco's plan eligibility rules, which include medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time.

U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies:

  • 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees

  • 1 paid day off for employee's birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco

  • Non-exempt employees** receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees

  • Exempt employees participate in Cisco's flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)

  • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours ofunused sick timecarried forwardfrom one calendar yearto the next

  • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members

  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer

For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

  • .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

  • 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

  • 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and

  • Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below:

New York City Metro Area:

$132,300.00 - $200,100.00

Non-Metro New York state & Washington state:

$117,300.00 - $219,300.00

* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
