About the Job

Energetic, innovative designer needed to assist the MCC Marketing and Communications (MarComms) team with various graphic design and marketing projects. Position reports to MCC Marketing and Communications Manager but will work with other members of the MarComms team as well. This position will work on a variety of design projects for print and digital needs, including but not limited to presentation templates, blog post and email imagery, social media collateral, brochures, posters, flyers, print and digital advertising; event materials including agendas, handouts, signage; and possibly do some videography and video editing. Topic areas will be cancer-related, including clinical trials; past, current, and future research; community engagement; upcoming events; education initiatives; and patient and/or caregiver success stories.

This position will only be able to work up to 14 hours a week.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:
* Excellent command of graphic design principles and processes.
* Strong working knowledge of and familiarity with Canva, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Suite. Preference will be given to candidates who are also familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, and/or Photoshop).
* Must be a creative problem solver with strong written and verbal communication skills who has the ability to work in a team environment, use critical thinking, take direction and receive constructive feedback, and also take initiative to work independently.
* Must be organized, accurate, and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
* Must have a reliable internet connection to meet regularly with supervisor and various colleagues/collaborators via Zoom.

Preferred qualifications:
* Experience working with print and digital media
* Experience in Communications/Marketing
* Exposure to public health communications and/or community engagement

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $17 - $22/hr; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
