*Location:* Hunt Valley, MD (Hybrid) *Salary:* $90,000 - $130,000 *About the Role* We are seeking a *Senior** Software Engineer III* to lead the design, development, and support of complex enterprise applications. This is a *Senior**-level, hands-on technical role* focused on building scalable, secure systems while driving modernization efforts from legacy platforms to cloud-based solutions. You will play a key role in *architecting solutions, mentoring engineers, and partnering with cross-functional teams* to deliver high-impact technology initiatives. *Key Responsibilities* *Architecture & Development:* * Lead the design and development of advanced *.NET applications and services* * *Build scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise systems* * *Define and implement RESTful APIs and JSON-based integrations* *Cloud & Infrastructure:* * Design and support systems on *Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)* * *Drive cloud modernization and optimize application performance* * *Partner with DevOps and cloud teams to improve reliability* *Data & Systems Management:* * Manage and integrate *DB2 databases* and relational systems * Perform performance tuning and troubleshoot production issues * Act as an escalation point for high-impact technical challenges *Leadership & Mentorship:* * Review code for quality, security, and performance standards * Mentor and guide junior engineers (Software Engineer I & II) * Contribute to technical roadmaps and long-term architecture *Agile Delivery:* * Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives * Ensure projects are delivered on time while managing risks and dependencies *Required Qualifications* * 7-10 years of experience in software engineering * Strong expertise in *Microsoft .NET technologies* * *Experience with Azure and Kubernetes (AKS)* * *Proficiency in REST APIs, distributed systems, and SQL databases* * *Strong troubleshooting and production support experience* * *Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments* * *Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field* *Preferred Qualifications* * Experience with *DB2 databases* in large-scale environments * Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect) * Experience building *cloud-native, secure enterprise systems* * *Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and security tools* *Work Environment* * Hybrid schedule in Hunt Valley, MD * Collaborative team of 6 engineers * Supportive team culture with long-term project stability (3+ years) * Onsite amenities including cafeteria *Why This Role* * Lead a *large-scale modernization effort* transitioning from legacy IBM systems to Microsoft cloud * High-impact role with *ownership, leadership, and visibility* * *Opportunity to mentor and shape engineering best practices* * *Stable, long-term growth environment within a collaborative team* *Interview Process* * Technical interview with engineering team * Final interview with the Director of IT *Job Type & Location*This is a Permanent position based out of Hunt Valley, MD 21031. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
