Job Summary

The Office of Faculty and Academic Affairs (OFAA) facilitates the recruitment, development, mentoring, and retention of the highest-caliber diverse faculty and academics, as well as the human capital management of those populations. The Office provides leadership, training, and guidance in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to academic personnel. The Office is committed to improving the work, life, and academic environment for faculty and academics to support innovative and collaborative approaches for education, research and health care at UCSF.

Applies advanced professional concepts to support and implement programs, projects, and operational initiatives within the Office of Academic Affairs. Works on complex issues requiring analysis of data, processes, and stakeholder needs. Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques to achieve results within defined organizational priorities.

Supports the development, coordination, and implementation of programs and processes that have impact across the unit or multiple functional areas. Provides project management, operational, and analytical support to leadership, including the CAO, VPAA, and AVP-AA, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and established policies and procedures.

Leads and coordinates projects and programs of moderate to high complexity in support of OFAA and leadership priorities.

  • Manages planning, timelines, and execution of assigned projects and initiatives
  • Coordinates cross-functional efforts to ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Tracks project progress and provides regular updates to leadership
  • Supports implementation of new or revised programs, processes, and initiatives
  • Identifies risks or barriers and escalates issues as appropriate
  • Provides coordination and implementation support for faculty-focused programs, including the CORO Leadership Collaborative, Faculty Development Day, and Faculty Mentorship Program

Assists with logistics, scheduling, participant coordination, and program execution for assigned initiatives. Leads efforts to conduct highly complex analyses across a broad spectrum of programs, policies and initiatives or provides in-depth, complex analyses as a specialist in one policy field.
