Job Purpose: The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering parts to customers and assisting with warehouse operations. This role involves operating a truck or van and requires safe and responsible driving at all times. Responsibilities: * Perform accurate delivery & distribution of freight to Fabick branches and drop boxes. * Maintain good working relations with all Fabick branch facilities. * Represent Fabick Cat in a safe and professional manner while in transit. * Notify company supervisors and mechanics of vehicle problems. * Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as regulating tire pressure and adding gasoline, oil, and water. * Record the name, date, and freight information on trip sheets, along with trip information such as time and place of pickup and drop-off. * Complete accident reports when necessary. * Check vehicles before driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. * Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate. * Secure cargo for transport * Read bills of lading to determine assignment details. * Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles. * Load and unload van, or help others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading-related equipment on vehicles and using other equipment as necessary. * Assist in Warehouse during down times. | |
