About the Group and Role The Certification Inspector will be a part of our Quality-Advance Product Assurance Team. The APA is comprised of 7 functional areas dedicated to maintaining and improving Quality System continuity through standardization, deliberate data metrics, compliance audits, project conformity, certification, and records control. All are crucial to achieving a high performing Quality Management System. In the Certification and Conformity team, the Inspector will provide technical expertise ensuring that developmental aircraft programs execute business processes resulting in successful conformance to type design, certification conformity and substantiation of data necessary to achieve aircraft level certification conformity. Provides guidance and training in areas of conformity execution and interacts with FAA partners. Unique Skills: A&P license required Knowledge of Microsoft Office, CATIA, AIR, Smarteam is preferred. Preferred FAA Certifications: DAR or DAR-T or DAR-F or DMIR or ODA UM Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. Seven (7) years aircraft inspection experience to include three (3) years inspection experience on large or mid-size aircraft (or same type and complexity as Gulfstream aircraft). . A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. ASQ certificate (American Society for Quality) preferred. Other Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred. preferred.
Position Purpose:
Performs certification inspections in a timely and efficient manner to ensure aircraft and/or component airworthiness. Physically inspects aircraft, components, and reviews related documentation to ensure workmanship meets acceptable standards of quality and that customer aircraft/components are returned to service in an airworthy condition with all required. documentation properly completed and filed. As an ODA Inspection Authorized Representative (IAR) or FAA Designee, works as an integral part of the Quality Control/Assurance team assuring aircraft/components are in compliance to FAA/ODA requirements.
